I like to Talk!

I like to talk!

What type of people do you like? We all like nice people. We all like cool people. We all like funny people. Do you like mean people? Do you like nasty people? Do you like quiet people? Do you like jokers?

The world is full of different people and sadly, we have to pick what type of people that we like.

Suppose you do not like arrogant people and you need a job? The only job you can get is where the arrogant boss works. He needs someone that can do the work that he needs done. He doesn’t care if you are happy, mean, silly or smart, all he would like to do is hire a person that can do the job. What do you do? Do you drop your pride and take the job or do you look for something else?

I personally don’t like arrogant people but if I need the job, then I think I would just put my dislikes to the side and get the job and work hard, and look toward the pay. Of course I would have to deal with this guy being arrogant but everyone in the world is not going to be what I like. That’s the way of the world and I live in the world so I have to take the bitter with the sweet.

Maybe I could work the job and save some money and then look for another job. Maybe I would et the job and do so good of a job that he wouldn’t be arrogant toward me because he would see that I am a hard worker and I did not come on his job to change him. Maybe he acts arrogant because he has a personal problem that makes him act arrogant toward people. Maybe I would get to know him and he would explain why he is so arrogant. Maybe we will never talk at all, and I would be as content as possible, and keep the job and get the pay check, and look toward my future.

Whatever I decide has to be my decision alone. I know one thing I would do, and that is, “I wouldn’t take it personal because I need the job and as long as he doesn’t hit me or say anything against human resourses policies, I would be fine.

So are our likes and dislikes important to live by? Of course, depending on the motivational factor that we have to live in. You can say depending on the principle or standards. All in all, sometimes what we like or dislike about a person doesn’t matter when it comes to having bread on our table. You decide! You weigh out the sand! Life is sometimes complex and we all experience things that we need to experience to get us to the next level in life. I don’t like arrogance, but sometimes people are arrogant. I had a very arrogant boss and he was a foolish angry man and I didn’t let that stop me from making a living.

One day I did quit the job because of his rudeness and his ongoing behavior. I’m glad I quit the job. But little did I know, is that a great of percentages of jobs that I would work on in the future had them same type of people. So I made myself full aware of that and the next time I got a job working with an arrogant person, I didn’t take it personal. I worked hard and still respected that person and was more than friendly with that person and everything went as well as it could be. Don’t take life personal especially when you have to eat. Leave your feelings at home. Be assertive and understand that everyone will not be what you like.

Quick story.

Have you ever been cheated by a small business? I have plenty of times.

20160421_132006

Just the other day I saw a sale at a local business. The sign said, “50 to 70 % off all items inside of the store.

I thought to myself, maybe I should go into see what is for sale. As I came into the door I right away noticed that there were silver bracelets inside of the glass counter. The bracelets were very nice. I asked the young lady behind the counter, are these real silver items, and she said, yes they are, in fact all of our silver is sterling silver.

I purchased the silver bracelet and then took it to a silver and goldsmith to get a new extended clamp put on it. The silversmith said, why are you putting a new silver clamp on a piece of metal? ” I said, what! No way! This is sterling silver. He took a magnet and stuck it to the bracelet and said, magnets do not stick to silver. Go back to whomever you bought this from and let them know that they cheated you, and sold you a metal bracelet dipped in silver.

I went back to the local store and made the manager aware of what took place, and the information the the silversmith told me. She didn’t seem to be surprised. She said it’s nothing I can do I cannot give you your money back. I said I have the reciept and the girl lied to me. She said, I can give you store credit. I said, I don’t want store credit. I would like my money back. She said, you will have to talk to the owner. That has been a week ago and I haven’t even seen the owner, but she didn’t know that I knew the owner, and the owner is a pretty nice guy and I don’t think that he would run his business like that.

I went back to her several times and asked the manager where is the owner and she said she is on a vacation and she will be in Thursday. So Wednesday I went back and talked to a different young lady and She told me that the owner had been there two times since I had been there and if I call she will let me know if the owner is there. So I knew that something was strange and someone was lying again. So Thursday morning I went back to the store. I asked the manager once more where is the owner, and she gave me the same riff raff.  However I have not heard from the owner, and everytime I go into the store, nothing has been resolved. I called the company that makes the bracelets, the company said, all of the people that buy these bracelets and sell them to people know that they are not silver or sterling silver, and they know not to tell their customers that they have silver bracelets for sell. So Thursday afternoon, I was standing by the coffee shop and I saw the owner ride up in his car and I went to talk with him and told him what occurred, he said that he was not aware of anything and no one told him. The owner gave me back my money for the bracelet.

I’m not upset at what took place but I do know that if you have to lie and cheat a person out of anything, then you can not be trusted, and the more you continue to cheat people the less customers you will see come inside of your store. Well the store is going out of business and I see one of the reasons why. One of the reasons is because of his employees, and how they operate, and how they treat the customers.

Please be careful when you purchase anything from anyone, and if it has something to do with jewelry or even a car, you may want to video the transaction. What’s sad is that if I would have went to Walmart, and purchased anything and decided that it was not what I thought it was, Walmart would have given me my money back. Honestly, what they did to me was wrong and that makes me not even want to try to buy anything from a small business like that. “Well thanks for reading this and remember some people will cheat you for a piece of bread, and feel like they have not done any wrong.

Kindness is free.

It should be easy to be kind. Some people can’t be kind. They can be nice at times. What is the difference from being kind and being nice. Gentleness is a way of kindness. How gentle are you and are you able to be generous? The world can surely take being considerate and caring away from people. People have lots to deal with and forget about giving each other respect.

If you open a door for a blind lady and she doesn’t say thank, should you get upset? If you feed the birds everyday, should the birds comeback and say thank you. Is kindness free? Why is it so hard for some people to be kind to each other? Is kindness apart of peace? Is it better to confront someone or just be at peace with them and show them through example?

Are you the type of parent that will curse someone out at the drop of a dime? Do you tell your kids to fight back and don’t take nothing from anyone? Are you the type of parent that will fight anyone for anything? Are you forgiving or you believe in revenge? Do you always have to prove that you are right? Is being kind being right? What’s better being kind or being wise?

Are you able to be kind even when it’s not your fault?

I believe that this topic will help you and your families self-esteem. If you do not agree with what I’m writing, it’s okay. We all have to think for ourselves. This is just something I am sharing with you.
I do understand that a person should do right, think right, be right, and live right. We always have a choice. Sometimes our choices may be good and sometimes our choices my be poor. Even when it seems like you don’t have a choice, the choice that you make may be the only choice that you have or need. However you are the one that makes the choice.
If you are able to control your life, you are able to make your own choices. I do understand that being a teen and living in your parent’s household can be a little complex at times. I do understand that parents do sometimes make choices for their children but if you are an adult and somewhat mature, you still accept the choice that they make for you, and you choose to make the choice to adhere. Lots of times I’ve said, ” I don’t have a choice.” Even though I still made the choice that I had or needed to make. I could have not made the choice and if I didn’t make that choice, then I would have not went another step forward in life. So all in all, I still chose to choose to make that choice.
Some people make choices for different reasons. What if you had a chance to be right about something, but being right would cause someone to feel bad, or look stupid, or get upset at you? Have you ever heard someone tell you, “You always think you are right! What about when they say, “You never listen or after you show them that they are wrong, they never talk to you again?
We always have chances to help someone to improve themselves. Sometimes you have to point out a person’s mistakes to help them to understand where they went wrong. I would rather “correct” a person in private, instead of in front of others, because some people can’t take collective criticism. And of course you and I know what comes next, either you feel bad or they feel bad.
So is it right to be right all the time or should you be kind and understanding and let them find out on their own, or give them time to figure out where they went wrong.

Did you know that free advice is sometimes the wrong advice. Did you know that free advise is just what it is, “free!” You would think that it helps a person but most of the times it hurts a person. Free advice is free and I’ve even heard that free advice equals up to nothing. Because some people take free as being a scheme to get them to do something or some people take free as a easy access. Did you know that phycology states that when you give a cat away free that the person you give it to, may not take good care of it, but if you sell them the cat, they will take good care of it. I didn’t say don’t do things free. Because sometimes you have to do things free, and sometimes you have to do things free to help people. Some people may take advantage of your kindness and some people really appreciate your kindness. So use your own discretion.
When you are a parent, you may feel like no one can correct you, or put you down, or always have to prove yourself to people. that you are right. So you yourself may directly or indirectly say thing to others that hurt their feelings. Sometimes you may get into a hated argument with your sister or friend about something that is suppose to be done a certain way but they did it backwards. What about when you know that all you had to do is use common sense. How could you get upset, and stay upset at nothing?

One time I asked my friend to sweep the floor. He took the broom and tried to sweep the floor but he couldn’t. He tried and tried. He did a very poor job. I was upset and I said, you are stupid. You are twenty years old and you can’t sweep a floor. That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever saw. He looked at me and said, Why are you criticizing me? You think you are always right. I said, “everyone in the world knows how to sweep a floor”. He said, I never swept a floor before because my parents never had a broom inside the house. We always used a vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner could clean the rug, sweep the floor, and steam the carpet!

I right away felt bad, because he really didn’t know how to sweep a floor because he never swept a floor, and believe it or not he also told me that he never hammered a nail. I apologized to him for my ignorance and I right away showed kindness. The next time he did something wrong or made a mistake, I didn’t jump all over him. I gave him a chance to learn or to ask me why things didn’t work out the right way, or I just let things be. By me doing that, he felt good and most of the time he would ask me how things go or do I have any advice for him.

If you have to keep pointing things out to people to show them that they are wrong, maybe it’s your ego, or you want to be noticed as the smart one. Or maybe you do it to make you feel better, and like I said, some people say and do stuff indirectly, not knowing that they are doing it.

Sometimes parents can go overboard with wanting to always be right, and sometimes teens can go overboard with always wanting to be right. I’ve had friends that always want to be right. They always had to prove that they were right. What did I do? Actually, I just let them be right just so we could be at peace. I would admit I’m wrong when I was wrong and even if I was right. I showed kindness to them when they were wrong. I went out of my way to accept the fact that, that was the way they were. But as time went on I was able to bring things to their attention and show them that they must hold themselves accountable for their actions. By me being patient, and kind to with them, helped us both to continue to get along and accept each others character defects.

I believe that everyone is perfect, that’s why we have four fingers and a thumb. If we had five fingers, we could play in trees like monkeys. We would never drop a cup. We could play the piano with our eyes closed. Humans suppose to drop things. They suppose to get upset. They suppose to cry. They suppose to feel sad. They suppose to make mistakes. That’s all apart of being perfect, and being able to perfect and improve yourself. Individually we all have something to share and that’s what makes us a perfect species. If you believe in a creator or something that is over you, or something made you or evolution formed us, whatever did what it did to bring us forth, did a good job..

So I believe that we are all made perfect no matter what handicap we have or how we look. “Now, don’t get me wrong, because some people do lots of stuff backwards but not because they want to, but because we can all be ignorant of certain things. But still, I love the human race and I vote us all perfect beings. Even if we make mistakes. I believe that just like it’s room for improvement, it’s still room for mistakes and sometimes a mistake can help you to see where you went wrong.

Trust me its not imposible to feel good about someone else’s faults or mistakes, if you are compassionate. Being compassionate helps you to understand how fortunate you are to know right from wrong. Your every day goal should actually be to make people feel better about themselves or to build up a person or to be an example to people, and to be positive. Being right all the time interferes with your everyday life experience. Sometimes we have to be wrong. Sometimes you have to let a person be wrong. Sometimes you have to zip your lips and let a person be right.
Sometimes you have to let a person learn on their own. It’s got a lot to do with experience. We all need experience in our lives. Trust me, I’ve made a lot of poor choices. I don’t regret my poor choices because I’ve learned from them. I don’t make as many poor choices as I used to but theirs always room for improvement in my life and I’m 53 years old and I’m still learning. They say, ” You must always stay teachable and be more then willing to learn. But on the other hand they say, ” You can’t teach an old dog new tricks. I’m glad I’m not an old dog.
Kindness is so important in our lives. If you have a low self-esteem, you may want to learn how to be confident and practice how to build your self-esteem so you can be kind to others. There a lots of books on kindness.
So try not to correct people all the time, If they don’t have all the facts, it’s okay. That’s what research is about. That’s what learning is about. You don’t have to prove that you are right all the time. Have a peaceful interaction with the people in your life, even with strangers. Next time someone is wrong try not to criticize them, and put them down. Don’t get into heated arguments over nothing.
Be kind and peaceful. It’s lots of ways to bring something to a person’s attention. Some of the ways to avoid being Mr. know it all , is you can wait until later and say something or or you can show them through research, or you can wait days and say, ” Hey, I do believe that we can negotiate because I would love to stay friends. You can be an example to them so they can see that they were wrong. Or like I said, “Let it go!” And of course be apologetic. Be forgiving. Some people always want to stand up for what they believe in and those people usually have lots of enemies or end up lonely, or people like to avoid them when they see them.
It’s okay to be right. But if it causes you or someone to feel bad, maybe you want to use a strategy to bring things to their attention and not just right out say it. Trust me it’s better to chose kindness over being right. Be understanding. Be compassionate. Accept the fact that people can be ignorant of some things. Sometimes people really don’t know they are doing wrong. Sometimes people do things backwards. Sometimes people make mistakes. Sometimes people make poor choices. Are you able to be kind and understanding instead of being right all the time?

BE PEACEFUL AND KIND TO OTHERS…

I often wonder if people really would like peace to be on earth. I do believe that it can be peace on earth but as you see there is so much happening in society. Who can you really trust?

If you do trust them, how long can you trust them? We are all the same. We all eat and live for existence. Why would someone want to destroy a life? I do know that I would not like to see a life destroyed. I know some people do all they can to bring peace but still it may seem that it’s impossible for everyone to be at peace.

I know that we are human and humans do disagree on lots of things but does war settle the score? Should our kids grow up wanting to fight about anything and everything? Can we just all get along? I know you heard that many of times but can we? Can we really get along with each other?

Countries are fighting other countries. Political parties are fighting against each other. Nations are fighting other nations. Religions are fighting other religions. War is all in the streets. Gangs are killing gangs. Neighbors are killing neighbors. Where does it all end? In the future will we destroy each other? Will we become extinct? Why is it so hard for us to be kind and peace to each other? Killing does not settle a score.

I do believe that If a person hurts another person for know reason at all, that person should face whatever conscience the law puts forth, and they should be punished immediately. I know that some people have to protect themselves, and I know that some people are afraid of others. I do know that the police are very busy and they may not get there on time. But still, we should all get along with each other. There shouldn’t ever be a thought of destroying each other for any reason. May our Heavenly Father Yahweh forgive us all.

Peace starts with you. Be at peace with others. Be kind to others.

Teen information is also educational.

I personally think that all teens should go to college. Education is so, so, important. Pick the college or University of your choice. Learning is a very valuable asset. Be successful. Set realistic goals. Never stop learning.

It is one of only 17 public, land-grant universities that belongs to the Association of American Universities.

Ejoy campus tours!

History
In 1853, the state-funded East Florida Seminary took over the Kingsbury Academy in Ocala. The seminary moved to Gainesville in the 1860s and later was consolidated with the state’s land-grant Florida Agricultural College, then in Lake City. In 1905, by legislative action, the college became a university and was moved to Gainesville. Classes first met with 102 students on the present site on Sept. 26, 1906. UF officially opened its doors to women in 1947. With more than 50,000 students, UF is now one of the largest universities in the nation.

Facilities

UF has a 2,000-acre campus and more than 900 buildings (including 170 with classrooms and laboratories). The northeast corner of campus is listed as a Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places. The UF residence halls have a total capacity of some 7,500 students and the five family housing villages house more than 1,000 married and graduate students.

UF’s extensive capital improvement program has resulted in facilities ideal for 21st century academics and research, including the Health Professions, Nursing, and Pharmacy,  Building; the Cancer and Genetics Research Center; the new Biomedical Sciences Building; and William R. Hough Hall, which houses the Hough Graduate School of Business. Overall, the university’s current facilities have a book value of more than $1 billion and a replacement value of $2 billion. Education is a very important tool. Go to college, be all that you can. The University of Florida is a wonderful place to learn lots of great thing. Teen community is Teen Structure! Teens deserve free scholarships! Community is education. Seek information and be enlightened on things you need to know!

Education: The process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, especially at a school or university. An enlightening experience. In its general sense is a form of learning in which the knowledge, skills, values, beliefs and habits of a group of people are transferred from one generation to the next through story telling, discussions, teaching, training, and research. Education may also include informal transmission of such information of one human being to another.

Education frequently takes place under the guidance of others, but learners may also educate themselves (auto didactic learning). Any experience that has a formative effect on the way one thinks, feels, or acts may be considered educational. Education is commonly and formally divided into stages such as preschool, primary school, secondary school and then college or university.

EDUCATION 1

These are question you should answer to evaluate how you feel about going to school. Most people often occupy themselves with lots to do, and lose track of what’s important/ or their first priority. I myself believe that all teens first priority should be school because education is very, very, important. I also believe that if you are not happy with your school that it can be some what uncomfortable and I would advise that if you are not happy, and you can not change to a different school, that it would be much better for you to stay focused on why you need school. Going to High School can be a little difficult when you have gang and drug activity or bullies, in or around the area of the school. You must be assertive and stay confident and please follow the rules, and have a good behavior. Be mature, keep your mind on your studying and if you are having any trouble, you must tell someone that can help.

15 Places a teen should visit before they reach the age 30

  1. GRAND CANYON (Ariz.): During the day, stroll the Skywalk, a U-shaped , glass bottom observation deck that juts 70 feet over the canyon’s West rims and 4,000 feet above the Colorado River. Come sunset, hit the Apache Stables, where you can ride on a horses-drawn wagon the ends around a campfire
  2. REDWOOD NATIONAL PARK (Calif.): Ancient, skyhigh sequoias aren’t the only attraction in this lush California
  3. MONTICELLO (Va.): The dreaded “look but don’t touch” rule means at the Griffin Discovery Room on the ground of Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello estate. Nothing is off-limits in the space, which features replicas of the third president’s possessions, from his alcove bed to his polygraph machine.
  4. THE FREEDOM TRAIL (Mass.): Who needs a social studies book when you can learn about Colonial history from an 18th-century ship captain while parading around Boston’s waterfront? The 90-minute Pirates and Patriots tour focuses on maritime history
  5. NIAGARA FALLS (N.Y.): Sure your grandparents honeymooned there, but the majestic waterfalls straddling the U.S. – Canada boarder are worth a 21st Century trip. After riding an elevator 175 feet down into the Niagara Gorge, you’ll stand on the Hurricane Deck, where you’ll be drenched by the tropical-storm-like spray.
  6. THE NATIONAL MALL (D.C.): Riding the streets of Washington, D.C, in a boat on wheels might sound cheesy, but cruising the Potomac River in one pretty sweet. Set in WWII-era amphibious vehicle, the 90-minute D,C. duck tour hits the history-packed National Mall – Lincoln Memorial, the Capital building, the Smithsonian – and then switches to a service river trip.
  7. COLONIA WILLIAMSBURGH (Va.):Everyone in this living-history site likes to dress-up. At the Great Hopes Plantation – a re-creation of the town’s original 1700s farm – a stash of old-timely accessories await, from tricorn (three-point) hats for boys and mop caps (bonnets) for girls.
  8. INDEPENDENT FALL.):Penn.): Acquaint yourself with the spirits of America’s founding fathers on Philadelphia’s Ghost Tour, 90-minutes, candle-lit stroll that winds past landmarks like Independence Hall, where the Constitution was adopted, and the 238-year-old City Tavern.
  9. ALCATRAZ ISLAND (Calif.): Shiv collections and cramped jail cells don’t actually sound kid friendly, but the National Park Service is all for bringing younger ones for a visit. Hop a ferry from San Francisco’s Pier 33 and stroll the damp, gray halls of the maximum-security pen, which housed criminals like      Al Capone and George “Machine Gun Kelly” from 1934 to 1963.
  10. ELLIS ISLAND (N.Y.): Between 1892 and 1924, more then 17 million immigration Museum you can search through millions of records to find exact dates of your relatives sailed into the port, as well as which ship they were on and who they traveled with.
  11. YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK(Wyo Mont, and Idaho): Snag a young Scientist Toolkit.  stocked with magnifying glasses, rock samples, and stopwatches to time geyser eruptions at the Old Faithful Visitor Center. The 3,472-square-mile park is home to more geothermal features than any place on earth.
  12. FENWAY PARK (Mass): Even die-hard Yankees fans have to admit that visiting baseball’s oldest stadium is an exercise in Americanism: Babe Ruth pitched there! Ted Williams  hit  502-foot home run! Fenway opened in 1912, but it’s features are still intact.

If you are a teen and planning on going to college, I personally think that you shouldn’t smoke weed or do any other thing that will affect the way you think, feel, or behave. You should keep a clear head when it comes to education and planning a career. You will have to study and do lots of research, have to get proper est. I can’t tell you what to do but I can ask you not to smoke weed or anything else. Keep your mind on your priorities.

What is marijuana, and what does it do to you?

Some people argue over the fact that it can be used for good and used for medicine.. Some people say that it’s not good and can be very addictive and can also get you in lots of trouble. What do you think? Is this a community matter! Should teens smoke marijuana?

I personally don’t think teens should smoke marijuana or do any other thing that alters their minds, and change the way they think, feel, or behave. However if I did see a teen smoking weed, it wouldn’t bother me because that’s their business, and I don’t think that they really understand that weed can be detrimental to their future. I could educate them on why they shouldn’t smoke weed though. But still it would have to be their choice to listen.

THC-TETRAHYDROCANNABIVARIN, CANNABIS

When I was a kid I smoked marijuana. It was normal in my neighborhood. I’m 53 years old now, and back then were the times of the great hippies so it was very popular. I started smoking weed when I was 8 years old. I smoked off and on until I was about 25 years old. If I could turn back the hands of time, I wouldn’t have touched it. SO i DON’T THINK A TEEN SHOULD SMOKE WEED. Marijuana did different things to me and others.

1. Sometimes it made me feel happy.
2. Sometimes it made me feel lazy.
3. Lots of times it was fun because all of my friends smoked it, and it was known as a recreational drug.
4. I never went berserk on it and hurt anyone or got in lots of trouble but some people did.
5. Back then lots of people sold it in the neighborhood.
6. When I was in school, I couldn’t concentrate on my subjects.
7. It made me have bad eyesight because sometimes I smoked about an ounce a day.
8. I don’t think I ever thought of myself being addicted to it. I guess because it was so fluent in the community, that i thought it was the way of life.
9. As I became older, I did start realizing that lots of people were addicted to weed.
10. Sometimes it made me very, very, sick with a bad cough and I couldn’t breath, and had a bad fever.
No i don’t think teens should smoke marijuana especially if they are in school and planning to go to college and have a promising career. A teen smoking weed is not good at all. Honestly I think that marijuana is just as bad as cigarettes.
Do I think it should be legal? No I don’t think it should be legal because that will change America, and that would be very unhealthy for our teens. Is marijuana bad for you? I think in most cases it could be bad for you. But still it, affects different people different ways. It really depends on what you do after you smoke it. I don’t think you should go to prison for a possession or for selling it. I do think you should go to prison for trafficking. This is a very complex subject and I could probably talk about this for ten years. If you are a teen and you are pregnant, please don’t smoke marijuana. I really don’t think teens should smoke marijuana unless medically, they really need to, because I’ve heard that it does help people. If you are smoking weed you should stop but also educate yourself on why they should stop. Look at a few videos on YouTube with your parents. Learn what it will do to you in the long term. Life is most definitely an experience. Children and teens will try anything once. I don’t think you are a bad person if you smoke weed, but weed shouldn’t be legalized.
Marijuana-marijuana
There are so many different kinds of marijuana. How do you know which is which if you buy it off a street corner. I am not against people doing what they do or even being whomever they want to be. However I do think that our country should rethink this issue. and if marijuana is legalized, please make it where our teens will not become victims of a social choice.
IF I WERE YOU, I WOULD DO A LITTLE RESEARCH ON THIS.
